Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace are a Canadian post-grunge band that formed in 1997, and consists of Adam Gontier (vocals and guitar), Neil Sanderson (drums and backing vocals), Brad Walst (bass) and Barry Stock (guitar).
Adam, Brad and Neil originally formed a band called Groundswell and recruited a fourth member who then left to go to law school, it was then that they renamed themselves Three Days Grace. It was upon completion of their début album that they recruited Barry as a guitarist.
The group moved to Toronto to work with producer Gavin Brown, who helped them produce a demo that gained them a publishing contract with EMI Music Publishing Canada, which in turn got them signed with Jive Records. It was now only a matter of time before Three Days Grace would enter the world of rock with the power of a sledgehammer combining their raw emotion and limitless energy.
In 2003, Three Days Grace recorded and released their self titled début album, they then released their first single (I Hate) Everything About You which it shot to instant success across Canada and the US.
Despite their heavy sound, Three Days Grace made no secret of its influences, which include nineties alternative rock bands Kyuss and Sunny Day Real Estate. However, Adam also appreciated the classic lyrical genius of bands such as The Beatles.
Three Days Grace have since gone on to release a further two albums, with all singles released to date shooting well within the top 100 US billboard charts.
Whilst only being around for a short time, after the success of all three albums and supporting huge bands such as Nickelback, Three Days Grace have already been given the next big thing tag.
