Liverpool based band The Zutons formed in 2001 and still has pretty much the same line up as it has always been. Abi Harding joined in the very early stages after playing the saxophone on a couple of songs mid set. The band has always had to shake off comparisons to other Liverpool bands, most notably The Coral.

From the moment they released their début album they received critical acclaim, including Mercury Music Prize and Brit Award nominations. Who Killed....The Zutons? eventually got to number 9 in the album charts after almost a year. Their second album, Tired of Hanging Around, will be forever remembered for the wrong reason - the cover of Valerie. The album, however, has much more depth to it, it contained many moments of pop bliss. This is what The Zutons are best known for; making you want to smile with a light airy sound.

Currently they are touring with their new album. The band recorded it in Los Angeles and have once again diversified their sound. The one thing that keeps the interest in The Zutons high is that they never get stuck in a rut, the listener will always have some to discover.
