The Fray - How To Save A Life
The Fray, a 4 piece American group from Denver released How To Save A Life as their début album in 2007. The album charted in over 25 countries.
The singles released include, How To Save A Life, Over My Head (Cable Car), Look After You and All At Once.
Their indie/acoustic styling make The Fray an easy listen for most and is perhaps one reason for their success, however, the album can also be tarnished as similar sounding on some of the tracks.
Other songs that are worth a listen include She Is, a song that is an easy listen and one you could play for your lovely lady. Heaven Forbid is a song with slow beat to allow slow lyrics to stand out. Dead Wrong, again, is a track with a little more beat and volume, but the vocals stand out and show Issac Slade's range. My personal favourite is Little House, which is a tad rockier, but a nice track.
Overall the only weakness is that they could sound a little samey, but a strong début for this American band to break through the UK charts with. They have performed on tour across the country and at Radio One's big weekend, etc.
A lively rating of 7/10
