Scarlet BLONDE - Whenever Whatever - Acid Planet Remix EP
Sheffield electronica duo, Scarlet BLONDE return with their first release of 2008, the sensational and dazzling tune, Whenever Whatever. The song has been packaged with remixes submitted by fans and budding DJs and released as an EP.
Whenever Whatever is from the album, Bedroom Superstars. It is a fantastic tune with stunning synth work and the vocals are, as always, bold and projected confidently with enthusiasm by DawnyVic. Unlike so many bands these days, Scarlet BLONDE put their all into creating the most fabulous and striking songs, as is evidently shown here.
After a blistering start to the EP, could any of the remixes grasp the same level of excellence? Unfortunately not, although they are far superior to the vast majority of remixes you’d find on various other artists releases. Take into consideration also that these remixes have been produced as part of competition for maturing DJs, then I have to say, this EP as a package is simply astounding.
In conclusion, this remix EP is brilliant. It has a tremendous lead track from one of the nations most promising up & coming electronica acts, and they are supported marvellously here by some skilful emerging DJs. A terrific achievement all round.
