Crowded House
Crowded House formed in 1984, with members from Austraila and New Zealand. The best known of their members is Neil Finn who was also joined by his brother Tim for a brief time. Crowded House formed from the remains of New Zealand band Split Endz.
They had relative success in Australasia as a result of their already established roots. It wasn't until the early 90's when the band made an impression in the UK. Neil Finn has always been the creative part of the band and engineered most the success they have had. Many of their songs are well known by every man, woman and child although they probably couldn't name an album. The bands output is far greater than many appreciate.
The whole of the band were itching to do other things, so when Paul Hester decided to leave the band it seemed to be the end of the day, but that was all to change after Hester's death. In 2007 they reformed to do a final album and tour, seen as many as an act of respect to Hester.
