 Twilight Of The Innocents

Ash

Ash are possibly the most famous band to come from Northen Ireland and have become the saviours of British music. They formed in 1992 and there has only been one change to the line up in all that time.
Tim Wheeler is the core of the band and is in part the reason for their success and more infamous moments. Today they are very much seen as a students band, this is very much down their biggest album 1977. The release of that album when they were still teenagers cemented their place in popular music. It hasn't always been so good for Ash, after their second album was savaged by music critics and ignored by the buying public it was so nearly the end. Wheeler disappeared and was found in New York and not in the best of states. It so nearly ended in bankruptcy but they are survivors and started from square one again to rebuild.
In 2006 Charlotte Hatherley left the band living the band with the same trio that was there at the start. After a break of 4 years they released their 6th studio album last summer. No student party would be complete without Girl From Mars, no student party would be complete without Ash.
