Adele Adkins is still only a teenager but already she has a growing reputation. She was born in London and she incorporates her fondness for Tottenham (the part of London she was raised in) into her songs, its this type of warmness that intoxicates you as you listen to her.

Although still in the early stages of her career she has been nominated for a plethora of awards. In January of this she won the annual BBC 6 Music poll of industry experts Sound of 2008, this is high praise indeed and bodes well for her future.

As a graduate of the BRIT school her style of music is quite different from recent notable graduates, one of those being Jack Peñate, whom she toured with last year and is her best friend. Adele brings Jazz to a new audience and because of this she has been compared to Amy Winehouse, although her sound has its roots much further back in time.

She recently released her début 19, it promises to be the next step into her promising future, she has the potential to mould music for years to come.
