The Locals Choice - Big Wok
(About 10 minutes walk from Birmingham City Centre)
A little off the beaten track, Big Wok is found in China Town in Birmingham. It has an all you can eat buffet for £4.99 at lunchtime and £8.99 in the evenings, Big Wok is great value. They offer a warm welcome to everyone who visits and will even sing happy birthday to you if you visit on your birthday! Big Wok gets very busy so get there early.

Although Birmingham has all the major chain restaurants, it has a few locally run ones too which provide a great choice. Here are a few of our favourites

Del Villaggio - Broad Street, Birmingham
A traditional Italian restaurant set in the entertainment heart of Birmingham. Del Villaggio provides a wide range of Italian treats for a special night out.

La Bastille - Corporation Street, Birmingham
A slice of French cuisine in the heart of England, La Bastille offers a range of french favourites. If you choose one of the set menus, the food is good value for money.

Ipanema - Broad Street, Birmingham
Ipanema offers a posh restaurant and bar atmosphere serving pub food with a spanish twist. Probably not the best for food, it provides a good atmosphere for a night out.

If you fancy looking for somewhere off the beaten track, there are plenty of curry houses a short train ride away in Selly Oak.
If you take the train to either 'University' station or 'Selly Oak' station and walk to Bristol Road you will find a great choice of traditional Indian Restaurants.
